Our all inclusive Bike Fest weeks will see you ride above high mountain passes, through the narrow streets of the traditional villages of the area, rip along and down single track and cruise the wide open trails. Every day you'll discover something new. This week is all about having fun with like minded people and enjoying the stunning scenery of the area to the max. We'll ensure you see plenty of it!!
You simply step out of the front door, get on your bike and off you go!!
May and June sees the temperatures warming up nicely and September and October are warm but cooling down from the high tempartures of the Spanish summer.
Fly into Malaga, Granada or Almeria and one of our team will meet you and transfer you to your base for the week, Casa Escocia (see our Mountain Villa page for further details). Settle in, relax and prepare for the week of mountain bike fun. Each day you'll discover a new part of the region and a whole variety of terrain. The rides are fully guided but there is no problem if you want to head off and do your own thing. We have a fleet of good quality hardtails for you to make use of (mainly Specialized Hardrocks). You are also welcome to bring your own bike and we have secure storage for any equipment you decide to bring.
During the week you can have a day off the bikes to sample some of the other delights of Las Alpujarras. There are many activities to do in the area from horse riding to wine tasting, stained glass workshops to abseiling and caving. You are more than welcome to take the bikes out again if you want or you could just kick back at Casa Escocia and enjoy the Spanish sunshine.
Breakfast, packed lunches and 5 two course evening meals are included in the price and these are either made by Mary (the legendary Casa Escocia cook) or by one of our chefs that we bring in for the duration of your holiday. Whoever we use you can be gauranteed top notch food. Incidentally we operate a free bar at Casa Escocia throughout the week (beer & wine).
